Michyl Collins is an emerging full figured model breaking all barriers & defying everything mainstream in the Plus Size Modeling World. She’s 42 & Fabulous hailing from Berkeley, California.  A beautiful exotic mix of African American & Korean, Michyl’s look is absolutely stunning with the drive and determination to match. We feature Michyl this month because of her amazing accomplishments, following her dreams and excelling in ways that defy belief.

Michyl started her modeling career in February 2010 after being asked to do a runway fashion show for “Kiss the Curves” by Tracie Collins. Since then it’s been a non-stop journey from there with limitless possibilities.  Having accomplished so much in such a short period of time, Michyl has done over 20 runway shows, Opening The Big Luv Denim Show for Steve Harvey & Nephew Tommy Miles, FOX News, LA News, online interviews, Magazines, Plus Model Magazine’s April 2010 “Why I Love My Curves,” unbelievable photo shoots for some of the most talented designers for plus size women such as Latoya Skinner which was featured in Vogue Curvy Italia.  Michyl will also be gracing the cover of  “Drapery” for Jaspher Knowles from Nassau, the Bahamas very soon.

Raising awareness for important sensitive issues is another passion of Michyl’s, she has participated in Breast Cancer Award Fashion Shows with the hopes of wholeheartedly raising awareness about this life changing disease.  She will also be walking for Toys For Tots with the U.S. Marines by Worldwide Fashions Industry in December 2010.
